"if my application doesn't get approved, then the three of you just go ahead. i don't mind not going."
mummy is a permanent resident, so she needed to apply for a visa. the things we needed to prepare and do for the application was mind-boggling and there were personal complications on papa's part.
we went down once, got sent back and re-did some stuff. the two days until our next trip down again was the only time i ever saw mummy so snappy. she was upset, but the only thing i could do was to keep assuring her that everything was going to fine. papa was also stressed. mummy's mood added to papa's stress and papa's stress added to mummy's mood. the only thing i could do was to stay positive.
we went down a second time, and all their faces showed was that there was only this much hope.
so when we received the call telling us that mummy's visa application was approved, it was like a huge burden off our shoulders. i still remember how crystal light mummy's voice was and how sweet her smile was.
thank you, for making this short family vacation come true. =)
and if it didn't, i'd be guilty for the rest of my life. not because i was incompetent, but because once again, i head-rushed into things. i accept this flaw of mine, but sometimes i will not be able to accept the hurt it will bring to the people i love… i'd hate myself for a long, long time.
i love my parents and my little sister so, so, so much, and i love how such a visa application has brought to me insights i've never gotten before of these three important people in my life… and i've once again felt how much papa loves and cares for mummy, and how much i am like mummy, sometimes saying things during a rush of emotions.
=)
life is beautiful when you look at the smaller things. =)
