When I tell people who have seen my wilder and louder side that I am an introvert (I'm tested 100% introvert), nobody believes me. How can you be an introvert when you are always so chirpy, so bubbly, so jumpy? Well, because introverts doesn't mean that we're always quiet and shy!

Yes, I can get very quiet when I'm thrown into a unfamiliar situation; I am already by nature an awkward person. And I guess you can take the inability to hold conversations and small talks with strangers I don't feel comfortable with yet as shyness.

We just enjoy quietness and because our minds are the quietest place to be- that also happens to be comfortable and warm enough to retreat back into- we choose to stay in our minds most of the time. The irony is that because we prefer to think inwards, our little quiet space tends to be the noisiest place. So yeap, we appear quiet because we are lost in our own noisy place. :D I know I like to be by myself some 85% of the time, just wandering around and going to wherever my thoughts go to. :D Oh, sometimes we are just watching and observing. Without you knowing. Lol.

And uhm, yes, we let loose and are able to be ourselves with people we are comfortable with. You'll never hear me crack a dirty joke unless I'm reeeaaallly comfortable with you, just like how you'll never hear me say more than just a few sentences during conversations. With some people, though, it is easy for me to open up as quickly as abc. Somehow, it is. Lol! And sometimes I try but I only end up making things awkward, so… yeap.

But yeah, we're not exactly shy, not exactly quiet, not exactly emo and most definitely not unfriendly or anti-social. Just people who need a little bit more time than others to open up because honestly, sometimes it can be a little tiring, painful even, to make new friends. I know it is for me… lol. Sometimes seeing so many people scares the heck out of me! So I'm thankful for anybody who has ever not found me strange or unfriendly and continued to try being my friend (I try too but I'm awkward like that). If you are my friend now, thank you so much. /hugs/

Yay us! :D

Okay, I'll admit it. It was awkward and going nowhere from the very beginning. I just wanted to clarify that I'm not anti-social or unfriendly... I'm just an introvert!
