HAPPY NOVEMBAHHH!!!
I know I say this every single time but I really can't believe just how quickly time has flown by. Time, are you in a rush or do you need the toilet urgently? WHY ARE YOU MOVING SO QUICKLY?! Slow down a little, give yourself a little time. Lol. The scary thing is that once this month has passed, it will be a year since I took the risk and dyed my hair red. That said, I miss my red hair baaaaaadly.
AND WHEEE! I have graduated! In all honesty, I wasn't really looking forward to the convocation ceremony because it's not my cup of yogurt. But le parents and friends were all so excited about it; I just don't see what is so exciting. I remember feeling like I was walking to my execution ground but yeah, I did get excited towards the end. Lol.
The whole reality of really finally graduating hit me when I collected my regalia and ha, I just couldn't believe that I actually came far enough to live this day. Sure, I'm not graduating from a local university or the such, but to have actually survived more than a decade of studying... /weeps/
I'm definitely gonna miss studying and all the perks of being a student, haha. Now that 29 October has come and gone, I feel like I really have to really really really buck up and begin to be serious about things.
I no longer have the privilege to be complacent about the amount of time I still have left (because now I don't). I no longer have the privilege to slack and think that "oh, I can always do it tomorrow" because I don't have that luxury of procrastinating anymore. I no longer have the privilege of fooling around (oh really).
But you know, me being me... Lol.
I'll work it out eventually, I always do. Watch me. ;)
Although they will never see it, I just want to thank the four friends who have made every single day at school enjoyable and full of high-pitched laughter. LOL. Here's to Beatrice, Sihui, Sandra and Mel! We made it this far and we will all continue to charge forward! Rawr! Thank you, really, because school was never boring with yall. My last semester was horrible because I was alone. T_T Let's meet up more often to get drunk on meat, aite! :D
With Sandra and Mel because Bea graduated eons ago (okay, not eons ago) and Sihui will have her convocation ceremony next year. Daww, you can never get too serious with me around!
And much much much love and thanks to Morgan and Shirz who came down with sunflowers (and leftover cupcakes)! They didn't have to but they did... I guess that's what matters. :) And just for that night, I could boss them around! MUAHAHAHA. The sunflowers are still beaming bright in my kitchen, by the way, and I love seeing them whenever I enter the kitchen. Lovely. ;)
Because, eh, WHY SO SERIOUS.
Although I have ended a phase and stepped into another (well, not really yet but almost there), I'm pretty confident that I will remain the same old me. I mean, I spent 22 years of my past 22 years just having fun, you can't expect me to suddenly turn serious. When the occasion calls for it, I'll definitely be serious but most of the time, expect to see me either 1) goofing around or 2) zoning out. I don't know... it's just the same old saying of "old habits die hard". What more when it's something you were born with? ;)
I know entering the workforce is like entering a battlefield, where you are mostly left to fend for yourself. But I have faith in the person that I am; I may fall but I will always stand up. It doesn't matter if it's because someone pushed me or because I tripped over my own feet, trust me when I say that I will stand up. I'm not one to stay down for long- and neither am I one to push others. I'm experiencing again the feeling of wanting more after having tasted some, but I will not let my greed blind my conscience. This calls for another post because ehh, simply because. XD
Because you know, like father, like daughter. I wasn't kidding when I said Papa did this immediately the moment he took it from the bag. OTL
And yeap, the two most important pillars of strength in my life. The father who showed me, without a single word, how to be a good person. I'm nowhere near the person my father is right now, but at least I know I'm in the right hands. And the mother who never once gave up on me and always told me to have fun in life. I look forward to being able to live life as carefree as she is living right now.
And hehe, I know it sounds like I'm bragging because I AM bragging, but thank God for giving them to me as my parents. You know what they say about children learning from and taking after their parents. My parents never once sat me down to talk about things (like they do in dramas and movies and books and whatever)- but they always showed me. Just by being who they are, just by how they treat others and receive others' treatment, they have taught me. Which is also pretty much why I'm always hiding in corners to jump out at them, lol. I learnt it all from them~
I'm a blessed child.
And for that, thank you. Thank you so much.
:')
